How To: Search Using a Resume or Job Description

One of the best new features of PROPHET II is Cyber Match. Cyber Match gives users the ability to upload a resume or job description into PROPHET to find candidates who have similar work experience.

Step one: Find a resume or job description that you want to base your search on. Save it to your desktop.

Step two: Open a new search in PROPHET. By clicking on the extension icon and selecting “Search” or “Search in New Tab.”

Step three: Drag and drop the resume/job description file onto the PROPHET search interface screen. Let PROPHET works its searching magic!

How To: Expert Mode

Let’s say that you’re a boolean fan. You love putting together those search strings and getting as specific as possible to find your candidate. If that’s the case, Expert Search on PROPHET was created just for you. This post will be short and sweet because we want to show you how to enable Expert Search and then leave you to get searching!

To get to Expert Search, you enter a code that’s well-known to gamers worldwide: The Konami Code.

To enable Expert Search:

When you’re on the search screen, hit: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right (on the arrow keys), then B, A.

This will add Expert Search to your PROPHET capabilities. Once you’ve entered it one time, it’s there. From then on, you can simply toggle between Smart Search and Expert Search.

From there, just enter either the boolean string you’re searching through or use the Smart Search to find your perfect candidate!

How To: Export a List

When you’ve found exactly who you’re looking for in PROPHET, you’re going to want to import them into your company’s tracking system. Thankfully, that’s easy to do!

Step One: Create a list
Lists can be created in a couple of ways. In the widget, click the plus button and select the list to add the candidate to. In the search interface, hit the plus button or save the entire page to a list. Then you can name the list whatever you’d like to keep things organized. If you have an existing list, simply select it from the drop down to add candidates to that list.

Step Two: Export the list
Select “Lists” from the PROPHET toolbar and click the down arrow next to the list title to download it. You can choose to download it as a CSV or an Excel file depending on what you need.

The exported file will have all of the info you can find in PROPHET: name, job title, company, social profile URLs, and email address.

Step Three: Import into your tech stack
Every ATS and CRM has a different import system so now that you have the file, you can import it to wherever you need.
